  • Recommendation:

    That the report from Wendi Hunter, Clerk / Director of Legislative Services, regarding Addition to Staff Complement – Junior Planner, be received, and

    That the position of Junior Planner be approved as a permanent, full-time position in the Legislative Services Department, effective immediately, and

    That the Job Description for Junior Planner be approved.

Being a By-law to amend Zoning By-law No. 6-2003, as amended, of the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

(Further to report PL.2019.64 and Resolution Number RES2019-339, passed at the October 16, 2019 meeting of Council)

  • Recommendation:

    Whereas, Council has given consideration to the written comments submitted by the agencies in the decision on proposed Zoning By-law Amendment Application Z-29-19 for 730189 Ontario Ltd. c/o Berner Contracting, for property located at 327 Park Street; and

    Whereas Council has considered oral submissions made at the Public Meeting;

    Therefore be it resolved that Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs is satisfied that the proposed amendment is consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement 2014 and other governing regulations; and

    That By-law 2019-129 be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation, and engrossed in the By-law Book.

Being a By-law to amend Zoning By-law 6-2003, as amended, of the Township of Georgian Bluffs. 

(Further to report PL.2019.58 and Recommendation Number COW2019-053, approved at the September 11, 2019 meeting of Committee of the Whole) 

  • Recommendation:

    That By-law 2019-130 be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation, and engrossed in the By-law Book.

Being a By-law to govern the proceedings of Council and Committees, and to repeal By-laws 2017-091 and 2017-106.

  • Recommendation:

    That By-law 2019-125, being a By-law to govern the proceedings of Council and Committees, and to repeal By-laws 2017-091 and 2017-106, be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation, and engrossed in the By-law Book.

Being a By-law to authorize a Site Plan Agreement with Value Stream Production Systems Ltd. c/o Ron Taylor.

  • Recommendation:

    That By-law 2019-126, being a By-law to authorize a Site Plan Agreement with Value Stream Production Systems Ltd. c/o Ron Taylor, be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation, and engrossed in the By-law Book.

  • Recommendation:

    That By-law 2019-128, being a By-law to authorize a Site Plan Agreement with 730189 Ontario Ltd. c/o Mark Berner, be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation, and engrossed in the By-law Book.

As provided at the November 13, 2019 Committee of the Whole meeting.

  • Recommendation:

    Whereas Committee of the Whole considered a presentation from Nicol Insurance at their meeting on November 13, 2019 regarding results of RFP 2019-21; and 

    Whereas Council has reviewed the received submissions in response to RFP 2019-21;

    Now Therefore, Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs hereby awards RFP 2019-21, for insurance provision services, to Frank Cowan Company. 

As provided at the November 6, 2019 Council meeting. 

  • Recommendation:

    Whereas Council considered correspondence from the Shallow Lake Skating Club, requesting that the ice rental fee at Shallow Lake Community Centre be waived for the following events:

    Pancake Breakfast / Skate with Santa - Saturday, November 30, 2019, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and

    Year End Talent Show - Tuesday, March 10, 2020, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

    Now therefore, Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs hereby waives the ice rental fees for the duration of the aforementioned events.

As provided at the November 13, 2019 Committee of the Whole meeting. 

  • Recommendation:

    Whereas Committee of the Whole considered correspondence from the Shallow Lake Lakers at their meeting on November 13, 2019, requesting that the ice rental fee at Shallow Lake Community Centre be waived for the duration of their Annual Shallow Lake Jamboree on March 21, 2020;

    Now Therefore, Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs hereby waives the ice rental fee for the duration of the requested event. 

Further to Resolution Number ITFD2019-069 and direction to staff at the November 12, 2019 Inter Township Fire Department Joint Board of Management meeting.

  • Recommendation:

    Whereas the Inter Township Fire Department Joint Board of Management reviewed and approved the 2020 Draft Budget by adoption of Resolution Number ITFD2019-069 at their meeting on November 12, 2019; 

    Now Therefore, Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs hereby approves the 2020 Inter Township Fire Department as presented.

  • Recommendation:

    That Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs move into closed session at _:__ p.m. in the Council Chambers with the CAO / Director of Operations, Clerk and HR Manager remaining in the room to discuss:

    a)    Minutes of Previous Closed Session – November 6, 2019

    b)    Personal matters about an identifiable individual. 

  • Recommendation:

    That By-law No. 2019-131, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council on November 20, 2019, be read a first, second and third time, finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation and engrossed in the By-law Book.
