LEG2020-07 - Bill 187, Municipal Emergency Act, 2020 – Amend Procedure By-law 2019-125

• Recommendation:

  That report LEG2020-07, regarding Bill 187, Municipal Emergency Act, 2020 – Amend Procedure By-law 2019-125, from the Acting Clerk, be received, and

  That By-law 2020-035, being a By-law to amend Procedure By-law 2019-125, to permit electronic participation during a declared emergency, further to Bill 187, the Municipal Emergency Act, 2020, be adopted.

Being a By-law to amend Procedure By-law 2019-125, to reflect amendments to electronic meeting provisions during emergencies, as included in the Municipal Emergency Act, 2020.

• Recommendation:

  That By-law 2020-035, being a By-law to amend Procedure By-law 2019-125, to reflect amendments to electronic meeting provisions during emergencies, as included in the Municipal Emergency Act, 2020, be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation, and engrossed in the By-law Book.

Special Council Meeting - April 8, 2020 

• Recommendation:

  Whereas the April 8, 2020 regularly scheduled meeting is a meeting of Committee of the Whole, and

  Whereas By-law 2020-035 limits emergency electronic meeting participation to meetings of Council, and not Committees of Council, 

  Now Therefore, a Special Council meeting is hereby called for 1:00 p.m. on April 8, 2020 for consideration of all outstanding Township business, including that of the cancelled March 18, 2020 meeting.

Confirming By-law

• Recommendation:

  That By-law No. 2020-036, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council on April 1, 2020, be read a first, second and third time, finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation and engrossed in the By-law Book.
