We acknowledge with respect, the history, spirituality, and culture of the Anishinaabek: The People of the Three Fires known as Ojibway, Odawa, and Pottawatomi Nation, who have inhabited this land from time immemorial. And further give thanks to the Chippewas of Saugeen, and the Chippewas of Nawash, now known as the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, as the traditional keepers of this land. We also recognize, the Metis and Inuit whose ancestors shared this land and these waters. May we all, as Treaty People, live with respect on this land, and live-in peace and friendship with all its diverse peoples.

CAO-2023-11 - GSCA Services Agreement

• Recommendation:

  That Council enter into an agreement with Grey Sauble Conservation Authority to provide Category 3 programs and services and,

  That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign said agreement.

8.1.2

CAO-2023-12 - Organizational Structure

• Recommendation:

  That Council receive the report CAO2023-06 in respect to Organizational Structure for information

CAO-2023-13 - Biannual Core Service Report

• Recommendation:

  That Council receive the first Biannual Core Services Report for information.

Development & Infrastructure

8.2.1

DEV-2023-28 - Cobble Beach Block 65 Part Lot Control

• Recommendation:

  That Council receive staff report DEV2023-28 Cobble Beach Block 65 Part Lot Control for information, and;

  That Council enact a By-law so as to remove Block 65, Registered Plan 16M79 from Part-Lot Control for a temporary period of two (2) years.

Community & Environmental Services

8.3.1

CES-2023-15 - Speed Limits Keppel Sarawak School

• Recommendation:

  That Council direct Georgian Bluffs staff to work with City of Owen Sound staff in supporting the creation of a school zone at Keppel Sarawak school; and

  That subject to the approval of Owen Sound Council, Georgian Bluffs staff work with City of Owen Sound staff on implementing a 30 km/hr. speed limit on:

  • 24^th Street between Carney Street and 8^th Avenue West
  • Finden Street at 24^th Street for approximately 300 m due north and,
  • 8^th Avenue between 24^th Street West and 26^th Street West; and

  That staff be directed to develop a bylaw reflective of these changes as required.

8.3.2

CES-2023-16 - Reconsideration of Waste Collection Services for Condominiums at Cobble Beach

• Recommendation:

  That the Township of Georgian Bluffs does not extend municipal garbage collection services to the condominium Block 75 at Cobble Beach.

COR-2023-29- 2024 Proposed Budget Guideline and Schedule

• Recommendation:

  That the proposed 2024 budget timeline and schedule be endorsed and approved by Council.
